Cydoca Entertainment is an American video game developer and promoter that was founded by MetaFox.

History[]

Cydoca Entertainment began when it was registered as a trade name by MetaFox in 2005. Its name is derived from MetaFox's first registered trade name, CYberDOg CAstle. On June 1, 2006, Cydoca Entertainment opened a physical location in West Elmira, New York, which also housed a then-free computer and video game museum titled the West Elmira Computers Museum. The physical location of both Cydoca Entertainment and the West Elmira Computers Museum closed on March 1, 2007, however, both remain active online.

DreamCon[]

In 2005, Cydoca Entertainment held the first DreamCon Dreamcast gaming convention at the East Coast Gaming Expo in Reading, Pennsylvania, as the follow-up to the previous year's Dream On at the Midwest Gaming Classic, held by Cyberdog Castle. The convention was held at the ECGX as the Midwest Gaming Classic was not held that year.

In 2006, due to the Midwest Gaming Classic returning, and the fact that the majority of the people who exhibited at the first DreamCon lived too far away to make the trip to Wisconsin, the convention was split into two parts. The first part was held at the Magfest in Virginia, and the second convention was held at the Midwest Gaming Classic in Wisconsin.

In 2007, Curt Grymala hosted the DreamCon Dreamcast Gaming Convention at the Magfest in Virginia. The show was on hiatus until 2015, when it was once again hosted by Cydoca Entertainment, at the Con on the Cob in Ohio.

Cydoca Entertainment hosted the DreamCon again in 2018, at the RetroGameCon in Syracuse, New York.
